Picked up my car this week, what a job! The dash had to be torn apart, the entire aftermarket stereo had to be fun to work around, the evaporator was leaking and it is a huge job.

So we've been real happy to have picked it up without incident. Sue asked us to comment here if we liked the work, and we waited a week to be sure things were right.

These cas have a very long life when they have a mechanic who understands them. This 1989 Mercedes Benz Coupe has less than 75K miles, so we plan on keeping it for a long time. New cars are not what they used to be.

Sue, thanks for the great follow through! My highest recommendation to you and Phil.

Quality work and within budget. We are real pleased.

I have to tell you, Phil and Sue run a top notch business! I have always come away with a fair bill and perfect work done to my Allroad. Its great to have a trusted mechanic that I always recommend to my family and friends!

My father had always said that one of the most valuable things that you can have, is a mechanic that you can trust.
Since my first experience dealing with Phil and Sue about two years ago, I haven't even considered bringing my vehicles, or recommending my family and friends to go anywhere else. Phil just seems to know what to expect from each individual vehicle he's worked on for me. I have had everything from my high-end german sports cars, to my wife's Dodge serviced at their shop, and every repair has been done as if it's his own personal vehicle. They will even go out of their way to literally show you the problem and explain what is going on, potential future issues, causes etc. Pricing is incredibly fair, especially considering the attention to detail and high quality of work. They dont take shortcuts, and theres no B.S.
And on top of it all, having someone that you can trust to work on your car, whether it's an $80,000 vehicle, or a $5,000 vehicle, is priceless!
Highly recommended. youll never go anywhere else.

Finding a good mechanic who has high standards, integrity and knows both today's automotive electronics and mechanical makeup is just a dream come true. Phil's Pocono AutoWerks is all that and more, as Phil and Sue are also both courteous and friendly. I bring all my cars (4, Toyota Solara, Subaru and Volvo) here. I agree with the above comments and highly recommend as well.

I commuted for 8 years into New Jersey and as you can imagine, my car sometimes took a beating. Phil would always look at my car, troubleshoot what was wrong and lay out a timeframe of what I could expect as far as repairs needed. For 8 years I commuted with no worries because he knows foreign cars and he tells you like it is with a fair price. Highly recommended and one of a kind!

I have known Phil for over 15 years. he is a master mechanic. He is very honest with resepct to the repairs that need to be done to your vehicle. I drive over 50 miles to have Phil service my vehicles. You cannot, and will not find a better master mechanic. Moreover, his wife, Sue is a sweetheart. If you need your vehicles repaired, Phil and Pocono Autowerks are it.

I've been an AutoWerks customer for over 3 years and I am so fortunate to have such a talented euro-car mechanic on my speed-dial list. His shop is always bustling with expensive German cars in all states of repair. I gave up my Audi Dealer immediately after being recommended to AutoWerks. I was so impressed with his knowledge, skill and craftsmanship that I recommend him to many of my colleagues at work. I can't say enough about his customer care and service. The one thing that is important to mention here is that I trust him completely. He not only got my 2001 Allroad in excellent running condition but he took my 2003 Mini Cooper S and turned it into a guided missile. He blew the lid right off the box with his phased performance suggestions. It's the fasted thing I ever drove and AutoWerks keeps it running reliably. I also own classic British Cars and AutoWerks has no qualms about turning a bolt or two on them when time allows.
In summary, if you love your euro-car and want to keep in running as if it just came from the factory, take it to AutoWerks for a truly unique experience at an amazingly reasonable price. For me, AutoWerks is the best car repair business in the tri-state area.

GREAT SERVICE, FAIR PRICES!

Our family has 3 slightly aging european cars.  We've been keeping our cars longer and waiting to upgrade.

We find Phil and Sue at Autowerks to be a pleasure to work with.  They schedule our appointments and keep their promises.  Our cars are not inexpensive to operate, but they are great cars when we have a trusted resource like AUTOWERKS!

I live in the Poconos area and own several Mercedes which are a bit of a hobby for me. Due to the time pressures of running my own business, and some physical debilitation, I can no longer do much of my own work on my cars. Much of this work is outside the realm of normal maintenance, as all my cars sport modified exhausts, suspensions, and some of them motors as well. Although I have had good service from International Auto located locally as well, I was delighted to find Pocono Autowerks so close to this area.

Whereas previously I was limited to pretty much stock repairs, I have found that Pocono Autowerks is not only qualified, but willing to take on some of the more demanding work I am asking of them….including total engine rebuilds, intake conversion modifications, as well as converting the older Mercedes CIS systems to stand alone and EDIS….Few shops are prepared, have the know how, or resources available to actually do this kind of work. I was delightful to find such a place virtually in my own back yard.

They are innovative and have on hand both factory specs and diagnostics for traditional maintenance and repairs, but also have some serious experience in custom work at the performance levels as well.

I have a '93 VW Jetta with 155,000 miles on the clock which still runs like new, thanks to proper care and maintenance it’s whole life. I bring it in to Autowerks now for scheduled maintenance and check ups.

Phil has always been honest and up front with repairs performed. With the professionalism and quality of work they have performed for me and my VW, I know my car well and I only trust it to Pocono Autowerks.

Recommendations for an auto mechanic can be very important for the owner of  high-performance European cars. I was recommended to Pocono Autowerks by a friend with a 5 year old $125,000 car and I confidently can recommend them to you now. They have helped maintain my Porsches and BMWs on a regular basis since then. I have been dealing with Phil and have been able to depend on him to get the work done correctly and at a reasonable cost. Autowerks consistently meets or exceeds realistic expectations.

I can recount several examples where Phil has taken the time to fully diagnose a problem and repair it cost effectively rather than replacing costly components as a troubleshooting strategy.  This is the type of shop I like to do business with and recommend that you check them out if you want to keep your quality import running the way it should.
